How XMR Exchange Works
XMR Exchange uses a direct order flow for sending Monero and receiving another supported cryptocurrency. The service is built around outbound XMR exchanges: the asset you send is Monero, while the payout asset and network are selected in the live exchange panel.
Before sending funds, the order shows the send amount, estimated receive amount, payout asset, available network and order terms. The quote refreshes every 18 seconds, and a fixed quote window is 11 minutes when fixed mode is available for the selected exchange.
The Exchange Flow
Every order follows the same operational path: create the order, send XMR, wait for deposit confirmation, let the exchange process, then receive the payout. The exact network conditions can differ by exchange, but the responsibility split stays the same.
XMR Exchange creates the order and organizes the payout. The Monero network confirms the deposit, the destination network confirms the outgoing transfer, and you are responsible for entering a compatible payout address.
| Stage | What happens | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Create order | Choose XMR as the source and select the payout asset | Asset, amount and payout network |
| 2. Wait for XMR | The order waits for the Monero deposit | Deposit address belongs to the current order |
| 3. Confirm deposit | The Monero transaction receives the required confirmation | TXID and order amount |
| 4. Process exchange | The exchange is processed according to the quote terms | Status and estimated receive amount |
| 5. Send payout | The asset you receive is sent to the address provided | Payout address, network and TXID |
Quote, Fee and Minimum
The quote shows the expected payout before payment. The final receive amount reflects the quote, the service fee and applicable network conditions.
The service fee range is 0.43%–1.18%. The minimum order starts from the equivalent of $13 in XMR, while the exact minimum can vary by exchange and is shown before payment.
Fixed and Floating Rate Behavior
When fixed mode is supported and selected, the fixed quote window is 11 minutes. The order needs to be funded during the time shown by the interface, otherwise the quote can expire or be recalculated.
Floating mode follows current market and network conditions. In that case the final payout can move with market liquidity and network costs, so the estimated receive amount needs to be reviewed again before sending XMR.

Deposit and Payout Checks
Send funds only to the Monero deposit address generated for the current order. Do not reuse an old address, and do not send another asset to an XMR deposit address.
For the payout side, check the receiving address and network before creating the order. This is especially important for assets such as USDT, USDC, BNB, LINK or ARB where the payout network can affect wallet compatibility.

Order Status and Support
An order can show the amount, payout asset, payout network, current stage and TXID when available. If something looks wrong, contact support with the order ID and transaction details.
Do not send a seed phrase, private key or wallet password. Support can review an order ID, TXID, address and exchange details, but it does not need private wallet credentials.

Start an XMR Exchange
Choose the exchange from the exchange panel and review the estimate before sending Monero. For common exchanges, start from XMR to USDT, XMR to BTC or XMR to ETH.

How long does an XMR exchange take?
The target completion window is 7–24 minutes after the required XMR deposit confirmation. Network congestion or manual review can extend processing.
Can a quote expire?
Yes. When fixed mode is available, the fixed quote window is 11 minutes. If the order is not funded in time, the quote may need to be refreshed.
What should I do if I sent the wrong amount?
Contact support with the order ID and TXID. The possible outcome depends on the actual order status, market and network conditions and the amount received.
Can I change the payout address after sending XMR?
Treat the payout address as final once the order is created. If there is a mistake, contact support immediately and include the order ID.
