AML Policy

Effective date: 30 September 2026

This AML Policy explains how XMR Exchange may review orders for risk, prohibited activity and compliance concerns. It applies to exchange orders created on xmr-exchange.com and should be read together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.

The service is designed for crypto-to-crypto exchanges where XMR is sent and another supported asset is received. This policy does not create a promise that every order will be processed without review.

Risk-Based Review

XMR Exchange may apply risk checks to orders, wallet addresses, transaction behavior, exchange patterns, support requests or other relevant signals. A review may be automatic, manual or both.

Risk checks can be triggered by suspicious activity, prohibited use, sanctions concerns, inconsistent order details, unusual transaction behavior, network issues or requests from relevant service providers.

Possible Review Outcomes

If an order requires review, processing can be delayed while the issue is checked. Depending on the case, the service may request additional information, reject the order, refund according to the applicable exchange process or complete the exchange after review.

The exact outcome depends on the order status, deposit confirmation, exchange availability, compliance requirements and the information available at the time of review.

User Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate payout details and use the service only for lawful activity. Do not attempt to bypass risk controls, split suspicious transactions or provide misleading information.

You are also responsible for checking that the destination wallet supports the selected payout asset and network before sending Monero.

Prohibited Activity

The service must not be used for activity connected to stolen funds, fraud, sanctions evasion, ransomware, darknet markets, terrorist financing, illegal goods or services, money laundering or other unlawful purposes.

Orders connected to prohibited activity may be blocked, reviewed, rejected, reported or handled according to applicable compliance procedures.

Additional Information Requests

In some cases, XMR Exchange may request additional information before an order can be processed or resolved. The request should be limited to what is needed for the review.

Do not send private keys, seed phrases or wallet passwords. Compliance review does not require access to you's wallet secrets.

Compliance Contact

For AML or compliance-related questions, contact [email protected]. Include the order ID, TXID and a short explanation of the issue.

For general order support, use the contacts page. For data handling questions, review the Privacy Policy.

Relationship to Service Claims

A direct exchange flow does not remove compliance obligations. If an exchange is eligible for a simple order flow, you can create the order and review the quote, but risk controls can still apply when a transaction requires review.

This policy is part of the trust and safety framework for xmr-exchange.com and should remain consistent with the checkout flow, support process and actual order handling.
